Does my project require a PERMIT?
ALL BUILDING PROJECTS WITHIN THE CITY OF CHIPPEWA FALLS REQUIRE A PERMIT. This includes new construction, additions, remodeling, fences, decks, garages, sheds (including pre-built) and temporary structures.
Replacements such as: windows, siding and roofing also require a building permit unless the estimated project value is less than $2,000.00.
- Building Permit;
- Fences;
- Decks (Appendix B);
- Sheds (including, pre-built and delivered);
- Garages (also here);
- Replacements (including, siding, windows and roofing);
- Remodeling, alterations and basement finishes;
- Swimming pools - 17.08(12) (Three (3) feet or more in depth); and
- Other projects may require a permit. Check with the City of Chippewa Falls Inspection & Zoning Office for more information.
Please note, additional permits are required for the following:
- Electrical;
- Plumbing; and
- HVAC
The completed application and fee (check or money order only) can be mailed or dropped off at City Hall located at 30 West Central Street, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.
*Projects started prior to issuance are subject to additional fees*
