Firefighter/Paramedic
The City of Chippewa Falls (Pop. 14,724) is accepting applications for a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic. The City offers an annual starting wage for this position of $55,655 with the opportunity for overtime. Additional benefits include a hiring incentive, paid sick leave, paid vacation after one year, holiday pay, health insurance, State of Wisconsin Retirement Plan (WRS), and lateral transfers.
Requirements for the position include the following:
- At least 18 years of age;
- Valid Driver License;
- High School Diploma or GED/HSED;
- State of Wisconsin Firefighter I or equivalent;
- State of Wisconsin Firefighter II or equivalent within one year of hire;
- Nationally Registered/State of Wisconsin licensed EMT-Basic -AND- be enrolled in an EMT-Paramedic class at the time of application -OR- Nationally Registered/State of WI licensed Paramedic;
- Valid CPAT within one year of hire; and
- Residency requirement of 45 minutes within 18 months of hire.
